The Borough of Midland in partnership with City of Beaver Falls, Beaver Borough, Bridgewater Borough, Brighton Township, Fallston Borough, Industry Borough, New Brighton Borough, Glasgow Borough, Ohioville Borough, Rochester Borough, Rochester Township, Vanport Township, Beaver County Planning Commission, and the Ohio River Trail Council is undertaking a feasibility study to create a bicycle and pedestrian trail along the northern side of the Ohio River as well as along the Beaver River, north to Beaver Falls. The proposed trail will connect with the proposed Ohio River South Shore Trail (Coraopolis – Monaca) at the Monaca-Rochester Bridge and travel to the Ohio State Line. The project is funded through a Community Conservation Partnership Program planning grant provided by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), First Energy Foundation and local community support.
The open house will provide the community the opportunity to learn about the overall trail planning effort, see various routing alternatives and provide input into the trail’s concept development.
Everyone in the community is encouraged to attend. If you cannot attend but would like more information please contact the Beaver County Planning Commission at 724-770-4428.
