The ORTC is committed to saving and exhibiting collections of historical significance of the region. This preservation provides an enduring record of the past, celebrating our heritage and providing an experience to discover our history with the establishment of the Ohio River Trail Museum.
The ORTC is currently in the process of securing a location for the Ohio River Trail Museum. Our goal is to preserve historical objects through heritage and humanities collections. The cultural repositories will include southwestern Pennsylvania photographs, videos, books, manuscripts, sound recordings, artwork, memorabilia, ethnographic and archeological artifacts with respect to Canals, Communities, Bridges, Dams, Ethnicity, Indian culture, Interurban, Immigration, Military, Railroads, Settlers, Steel Manufacturing, Towpaths, and Trolleys found along the Ohio River Trail.
